Has greatly improved since the renovation project was initiated few years back... some constructions are still on going. Only Departure Gates 1 & 2 are open. Gates 3 and 4 are not yet furnished. Was wondering why the design is a bit old unlike those built in Iloilo, Clark, and Cebu. Very few cafeteria and shops.
The second floor is now open and undergoing renovation… needs stronger aircon , increase #electrical outlets and free wifi…
It's a bit hot inside the terminal building (summer time). No food shops inside the boarding gates and no water dispenser. There is only one pasalubong shop after the first x-ray.
I suggest buying food and/or pasalubong at the kiosks outside.
PA system is not clear at the bigger waiting area.
The structure is very nice and iconic, the inside is clean.
Going through from the parking, to security checks, check-in counter and pre-departure area is quick. It's a newly renovated airport, very spacious but there are still limited facilities available. I think the second level is yet to open. There should be more convenience stores, dining areas, and kids play area while waiting for your flight. This is most needed when there are flight delays and cancellations like what happened during our flight back to Manila.
Despite its improvements. Its still hard to queue around the boarding area. The gates are small. The crowd control is very weak too.. few months after, it is still under construction.
The ground crew are so accomdating! They are well trained to speak depending on the guests' language. Its a small airport tho and there's no food stalls inside. I haven't seen one. Maybe its outside.
Great design. Would be better if there's a covered walkway connecting the terminal to the parking area and to the canteen. Parking roofing could also be covered with solar panels.
